Dr. Mohamed Abdelwahab is a robotics engineer and academic specialising in autonomous systems, robotic vision, and artificial intelligence. He holds a PhD in Robotics from a joint programme between Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology and Osaka University, with research focused on visual SLAM, and an MSc in Robotics from E-JUST. Dr. Abdelwahab currently leads the Marine Robotics Autonomy Research team at Khalifa University, working on underwater navigation and deep learning for environmental monitoring. He has taught robotics and AI at several UK universities, including the University of Surrey, University of Lincoln, and UWE Bristol, and has published widely in leading peer-reviewed journals and international conferences.
