– “We,” “our,” and “us” refer to LCIE, and “you” or “your” refers to the student enrolled in any LCIE course.
– These Terms and Conditions govern all course enrollments and the provision of related services by LCIE. By enrolling, you agree to be bound by these terms, which apply to any courses ordered online, by phone, mail, or any other means.
 
2. Student Eligibility and Responsibilities
 
– To register, you must be at least 18 years old and under 75, legally competent to enter contracts, and in good health.
– You are responsible for maintaining confidentiality of your account details and passwords. Notify LCIE immediately if you suspect unauthorized access or use.
 
3. Course Ordering and Acceptance
 
– Your order for a course constitutes an offer to enroll, which LCIE may accept or decline at its discretion.
– An order is accepted only when LCIE confirms your enrollment and grants access to course materials or online learning platforms.
– LCIE reserves the right to amend course content, pricing, schedules, or withdraw courses subject to reasonable notice.
 
4. Fees, Payment, and Access
 
– Course fees must be paid in full before access to course content or materials is granted.
– Payments must be made using methods specified by LCIE (usually bank transfer or credit/debit cards).
– Course materials (including software, if applicable) will normally be delivered or made available online within five working days of payment confirmation.
– It is your responsibility to inspect materials on receipt and promptly report any damages or missing items.
 
5. Use of Course Materials and Intellectual Property
 
– All intellectual property rights in course materials, software, and online resources remain the property of LCIE or its licensors.
– You are granted a limited, personal, non-transferrable license to use these materials strictly for your own study during the course duration.
– Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or commercial use of materials is prohibited.
 
6. Cancellation, Refunds, and Returns
 
– You have the right to cancel your enrollment within 14 days of receiving course materials or online access (cooling-off period), provided materials and software remain unused and sealed.
– To cancel, you must notify LCIE in writing (email or postal) and return any physical materials in their original condition.
– Refunds will be processed within 30 days, less any reasonable administrative or return postage costs.
– If materials or software are defective, you are entitled to a full refund or replacement, including return shipping, upon confirmation of the defect by LCIE.
 
7. Tutor Support, Exams, and Deadlines
 
– Tutor support is provided for a defined period after enrollment (“Tutor Support Period”).
– Any external exams required must be taken within six months following the end of the Tutor Support Period.
– Extensions of support or exam deadlines may incur additional fees.
 
8. Suspension and Termination of Enrollment
 
– LCIE reserves the right to suspend or terminate access and enrollment for breaches of these Terms, including non-payment, misuse of materials, or unauthorized account sharing.
– Upon termination, you must desist from using all LCIE resources, return materials, and delete any installed software.
 
9. Liability Limitations
 
– LCIE’s liability for direct losses is limited to the tuition fees paid.
– Liability for serious personal injury or death caused by LCIE’s negligence is not limited.
– LCIE is not liable for losses caused by telecommunications failures or interruptions beyond its control.
 
10. Data Protection and Privacy
 
– LCIE complies with UK GDPR in the handling of your personal data collected during enrollment and study.
– Personal data will be used for course administration, legal obligations, and to communicate relevant course information.
– LCIE will not share your personal data without consent except as required by law.
 
11. Communications and Notices
 
– All official notices will be sent to the email or postal address that you provide.
– You are responsible for keeping contact details up-to-date.
 
12. Complaints and Dispute Resolution
 
– Complaints should initially be directed to LCIE’s Student Support via email or postal service.
– Disputes arising under these Terms will be governed by English law and subject to the jurisdiction of English courts.
