Dr. Ahmed Hamed is an IEEE senior member and currently serves as a lecturer, at Plekhanov Russian University in Dubai, of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data Analysis with over a decade of teaching, research, and industry collaboration experience. His research focuses on AI-driven optimization, trustworthy machine learning, Industry 4.0 systems, and cybersecurity in smart manufacturing and smart cities. He has published extensively in Q1 and Q2 journals (IEEE Transactions, Springer, Elsevier) and has presented award-winning research at multiple international conferences, including recent Best Paper and Best Presenter recognitions in 2025. His notable works include blockchain-secured optimization for electric vehicle charging and the development of crowd-powered and human-in-the-loop AI frameworks for explainable decision-making. He actively contributes to curriculum development and accreditation processes (ABET) and has a proven record of teaching effectiveness, consistently achieving student satisfaction scores of 4.9/5 to 5/5. His current projects explore the integration of TinyML, Large Language Models (LLMs), and blockchain into edge intelligence and predictive analytics, with applications in smart grids, sustainable mobility, and cyber-secure manufacturing
